Dora Jean Moore, 85, of North Dinwiddie, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Born May 17, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Sally Daniel Brough. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Winfree Moore; brother, Willie Brough; and sisters, Ruby Moore, Vivian Austin, Susie Eversole, Louise Holt, and Ruth Emory.
Dora had a deep love for flowers and took great pride in her yard. Whether crafting something special with her hands, or preparing for the magic of Christmas, she filled every moment with warmth and creativity. She enjoyed camping trips to her trailer at the campground in Lake Chesdin, where she loved to fish, and peaceful afternoons outdoors brought her happiness; but nothing compared to the time she spent with her family, who she loved dearly.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the beauty of blooming flowers, the sparkle of holiday lights, and the love shared by those she held dear.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean Fields and Cynthia Harris; grandchildren, Christina Langford, Brandy Toombs (Chad), Blake Harris, Trey Harris (Berkley); and great-grandchildren, Jillian Langford, Sophie Toombs, and Kennedy Ray Harris.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, Virginia 23805.
