Dora Pritchett

Dora Holloway Pritchett, 88, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney F. Pritchett Sr., and was the daughter of the late Eva Wall Holloway Hardy and John T. Holloway. Mrs. Pritchett was a native of Petersburg and spent her entire life in the area. She was active in churches throughout the years, and was a member of Second Chance Baptist Church in Prince George. She was a graduate of the first LPN class from Petersburg General in 1958; a nurse for over 52 years and retired at the age of 83. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Pritchett Bartlett and husband, Andrew Bartlett of LaGrange, North Carolina; a son, Sidney F. Pritchett Jr. and wife, Donna B. Pritchett; granddaughter, Dana L. Pritchett all of Colonial Heights; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Robert Livesay officiating. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
