Dora Brown Thompson, 55, of Hopewell entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 2, 2014. She is survived by a daughter, Stacey Faille and husband, Richard of Colonial Heights; her mother, Barbara Brown Horne of Colonial Heights; her brother, Keith Brown and wife, Diana of Petersburg; niece, Lindsay Brown Venton; two half-sisters, Cathy Redmond and Mitzi Crowder both of Chester; a special friend, Aunt Francis; and numerous friends and loved ones. She loved helping and motivating others. She was very tough and such a fighter, and now she is at peace with no pain. A visitation for friends and family will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 22218 Dabney Mill Road, N. Dinwiddie, Virginia with Pastor Rodney Jenkins officiating.
