Doris Burton

Doris P. Burton, 88, of DeWitt, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at VCU Medical Center. Born in Henrico, she was the daughter of the late Luther R. and Laura Mann Pittman. Mrs. Burton was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Colonial Heights, and a lover of "The Facebook." She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles R. Burton; two sons, Johnie Ray Chestnutt and wife, Deborah of DeWitt and Ronald Lynn Burton of Petersburg; grandchildren, Angie McMillan, Ashley Chestnutt, Sean Chestnutt, Jherrica Childers, Zak Burton, and Alex Burton; and great-grandchildren, Lucas McMillan and Chaniel Childers. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church, 1226 W. Roslyn Road, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Gene Ballance officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, Virginia 23150. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Flowers welcome.
