Doris Schley

Doris T. Schley, 85, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Helen King Klunk; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband of now 64 years, Charles Franklin Schley; a brother, Frank Klunk; and a granddaughter, Brandi Schley. Mrs. Schley was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the Women's Auxiliary at the American Legion Post #284, the VFW, the Voiture 40 & 8 and the SPCA. Doris was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her four children, Charles O. Schley and wife, Carol, Robert A. Schley and significant other, Debra Folster, Dennis A. Schley, Sr. and Roxanne M. Blackmon and husband, Joseph; one brother, Kenneth Klunk and wife, Judy; seven grandchildren, Tammy Schley, Whitney Vattelana, Ryan Taylor, Dennis Alan Schley, Jr., Alexandra Lacy Schley, Thomas Schley and Wendy Blackmon; four great-grandchildren, Ashton James Wyatt, Noah Vattelana, Leah Vattelana and Raygen Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. All services will be private. The family is being served by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Flowers are welcome, or contributions may be made to your local SPCA in memory of Mrs. Schley.
