Dorothy R. Bryant, 82, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William D. Skinner, and a granddaughter, Melissa Johnson. Mrs. Bryant attended Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God in Hopewell, where she enjoyed playing the guitar in church, and was a retired Inspector for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company with 33 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Fenton L. Bryant Jr; her son, Fenton L. "Lee" Bryant III and wife, Earlene of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; her daughter, Frieda Stone of Waynesboro, Virginia; two grandchildren, Robby Johnson and Jessica Landis and husband, Elwood; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Leland and Ryan; and sisters, Willine Lane and Mary Christian. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Rodney T. Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the funeral home.
