Dorothy Lavenia Coleman, 91, of Chesterfield passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Chippenham Medical Center. Born of May 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Mary Henshaw Webster, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Coleman, Sr.; son, Paul L. Coleman, Jr.; sisters, Phyllis Owens and Barbara Webster; and brother, William T. Webster, Sr. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and was an avid gardener. She is survived by her two sons, Darrell W. Coleman of Chesterfield, and James M. Coleman of Centerville, Georgia; sisters, Violet F. Johnston of Dinwiddie and Joyce Joyner and husband, Joe of Prince George; brother, Charles R. Webster and wife, Dolly of Florida; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 300 Poplar Drive, Petersburg, VA 23805, with Pastor Jesse Nascimento officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ettrick-Matoaca Rescue Squad, 4501 River Road, Petersburg, VA 23803.
