Dorothy Gee

Dorothy Jerry Adams Gee, 82, of Newark, OH passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Arlington Care Center in Newark, OH. Mrs. Gee was born on March 27, 1930 in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Meade and Hilda Heplenstall Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Andrew Gee. For many years she resided in Colonial Heights, Virginia. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Newark, Ohio to be close to family. Mrs. Gee is survived by her daughter, Joanne Davis and husband, Leroy; granddaughters, Shannon Thomas and husband, Brian, and Courtney Green; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Audrey Thomas, all of Newark; a brother and sister-in-law, Edward and JoAnne Adams of Haymarket, Virginia. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Dr. John P. Mason officiating. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday August 26, 2012 from 3-4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
