Dorothy (Dot) Jackson Martin 88 of Dinwiddie went to be with the Lord Friday April 11, 2008 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Ethel Hux Jackson. Ms. Martin was a retired worker from the Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company. She is survived by her two daughters Carolyn Short and husband John, Betty Minter and husband Ronald, two sons Remmie Underwood and Jimmie Underwood a brother Edward Jackson and wife Janet, her grandchildren J.P. Short, Crystal Short, R.L. Minter, Chris Minter, Danyel Scott, James Underwood, and great grandchildren Jay Short, Amber Short, Zackery Minter, Brianna Minter, Harley Minter, Brandon Minter, Elizabeth Minter, Searrah Scott, and Jacob Scott. A graveside service will take place Wednesday April 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, with the Reverend Barry Ginn officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday April 15, 2008 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory 2033 Boulevard.
