Dorothy May Farmer French Moore, born in Petersburg, VA, December 17, 1924 the only child of Jeter N. and Elizabeth Cheely Farmer died suddenly on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Cincinnati, Ohio where she lived since 2005. Proceeded in death by Robert W. French in 1960. Dorothy was also the widow of Glenn E. Moore, Sr in 2005. She is survived by their daughter, Pamela Dimmett Inglish (Steve), one granddaughter, Dori-Ann Dimmett Friend (Mike), and two great granddaughters, Mikayla and Katie, all of Cincinnati, OH. Several cousins also survive her. His children Glenn E Jr., (Betty Tosh), Thomas H (Lynn Young), and Cara E. Moore and his grandchildren Jeremy Thomas Moore, Kristina Renee Moore and Christopher David Low survive her. Her extended family through Glenn includes Donald and Patsy Moore, George and Dianne Moore, Norma Moore Dodson and the children and grandchildren of Glenn Jr's wife, Betty. . Many friends in Virginia, Florida, and Ohio will miss her. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday April 10, 2010 in the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory 2033 Boulevard with Pastor Belle Drake officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery Petersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1-2 p.m.). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Lakeland Presbyterian Church, 6725 North Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, FL 33809-6134 where she worshipped during the Florida years or to the Guild of Mercy Hospital-Anderson, 7500 State Road, Cincinnati, OH 45255 where she volunteered.
