Dorothy Phillippi

Dorothy C. Phillippi, 84, of Chester, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2009. She was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Byrd Clemmons; and was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Phillippi, and a daughter, Shirlee McFadden. She is survived by two daughters, Doris Gilbert of Chester, and Velva A. Giddings of Largo, Florida; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two special caregivers, Charles and Betty.. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday (today) February 23, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Harry Bowman officiating. Interment private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
