Dorothy Rideout

Dorothy C. Rideout, 81, of Prince George passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Thomas D. and Lilly Rose Crafton Coley; and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Curtis Rideout; and two sisters, Charlotte Cheatham and Margaret Scarborough. Mrs. Rideout was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church, Petersburg. She is survived by her children, Brenda R. Zaki and husband, Sabah of Petersburg, Margaret R. Burfoot of Colonial Heights, Charles Thomas Rideout of Ruther Glen, and Cathy R. Resnick of Colonial Heights; a brother, Thomas A. (Jack) Coley of Prince George; a sister, Jean Prichystal of Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2008 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with the Rev. Alexis S. Fathbruckner officiating. Interment Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
