Dorothy "Gayle" Seay

Dorothy “Gayle” Seay, 65, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Born in Richmond, VA, on January 1, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Earl Martin and Margaret Jean Bowery Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David C. Seay, Sr.; brother, Timothy W. Martin, Sr.; son, Christopher Lee Giles; and son-in-law, Troy S. McDaniel. She is survived by her daughter, Chelly Lynn McDaniel; sister, Leslie K. Martin; grandchildren, Brittany Lee McDaniel, Bryson Steven McDaniel, Braxton Alexis McDaniel, and Cheyenne Lynn Giles; great-grandchildren, Braydon Troy Godwin, Kinslee Grace McDaniel, Reagan Hope Varga; and many other extended family members and friends. Gayle enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends, and loved drinking her coffee, gardening, and playing darts.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, VA 23834. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023, in Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road Chesterfield, VA 23832.
