Dorothy Barricks Worley, 92, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Born in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Eunice King Barricks; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband Clarence R. Worley; two brothers and two sisters. She was a charter member of Swift Creek Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. Mrs. Worley was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Worley is survived by her two daughters, Diane Hoefler and husband, George and Connie Worley Ziegenfuss and husband, Bobby; three grandchildren; Joy Kolev and husband Steve, Suzanne Davidson Heath and husband, Mike and Eric Hoefler, seven great-grandchildren; Jaclyn, Victoria, Madison, Conner, Peyton, Garrett and Amber; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Dr. Steve Felker, officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of the Colonial Heights Health Care Center and Crater Community Hospice for their love and care shown towards Mrs. Worley.
