Dudley H. King Jr., 76, of Colonial Heights, passed away on October 21, 2008 at his residence. He was the son of the late Marian Lynch King and Dudley H. King Sr., and was preceded in death by his wife of forty-six years, Janet C. King, and second wife, Lucille King, a son, Scott A. King. Mr. King was a member of Colonial Christian Church, Colonial Heights, a past Governor of the Colonial Heights Moose Lodge, and a member of the Colonial Heights American Legion Post 284. He is survived by his dear sister, Sally Ann Farrar and five half sisters and brother, sons, Thomas D. King and wife, Dianne of Hendersonville, Tennessee and a daughter in-law, Bonnie L. King of Bracey, VA. , daughters, Nancy L. Droddy of Colonial Heights, Cindy A Pelter and husband, Craig of Hopewell, Leslie A. Ridout and husband, Rodney of Chesterfield, and Susan Avery and husband, Ray of Powhatan; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dallas Mills officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
