Earl Dickens, 76, of Petersburg, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Slaughter Dickens. Earl retired from Brown and Williamson after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Eagles of Petersburg for over 50 years and we would like to thank them for their support and friendship over the years. Earl is survived by a son, John Earl Dickens; daughter, Bobbie Dickens Fauber and husband, Lewis Fauber; two faithful grandsons, Jeffrey Lewis Fauber and Brian Andrew Fauber who will miss there Papa a great deal; a devoted, caring and wonderful friend, Marion Bulifant and her children, William Bulifant, Brenda Whorley, Tonda Hockenberry and Rhonda Howard. A special thank you goes to Dr. Sandy Gibson and Dr. Kumar for their attention to his medical care. The family will receive friends Friday, December 3, 2010 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, 23834.
