Edith Warren

Edith T. Warren, 86, of Chester, went to be with her husband, Sammy in Heaven on Monday, July 30, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Florence Jones Toombs and was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel W. Warren Jr.; a granddaughter, Jessica Hogwood; and two brothers, Jack and Jr. Toombs. Mrs. Warren was a member of Chester Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Samuel W. "Sandy" Warren III and fiancée, Toni Vavra of Stony Creek Virginia; a daughter, Pamela "Pam" Hogwood and husband, Billy of Chester; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Madelene, Charlotte, Agnes, Evelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Rev. Neil Wheeler and the Rev. Aaron Hoback officiating. Entombment to follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
