Edith Crowder Murray Harrelson, “Sis,” 87, of Chesterfield, formerly of Fredonia, KS, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Born in Chesterfield, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Darrell Ray Harrelson; parents, Robert W. and Lucy King Crowder; two brothers, Robert, Jr., and Richard Crowder. She is survived by two children, Dr. Philip A. Murray (Ken) of Dinwiddie, Betsy M. Stafford (Barry) of Chesterfield; and numerous other family members and friends. Edith and Darrell owned the Country House Restaurant in Fredonia for many years. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. A graveside funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon, in Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Harry R. Bowman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
