Edna Britt

Edna Elizabeth Britt, 84, of Petersburg, Virginia, died on Monday, April 24, 2017. She was born May 24, 1932 and was preceded in death by her father, C.E. Laughorne and mother, Frances A. Costello; her husband, James T. Britt Sr. and sister, Patty Costello. Mrs. Britt was a pharmacy clerk for Grays-Walnut Hill Pharmacy for over thirty years. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Armstrong (Doug Croswell); two sons, James T. Britt Jr. (Paula) and Michael Britt (Sandy); six grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Britt (January), Kimberly A. Britt, Charles "Charlie" Britt (Bernadette), Rebecca "Becky" Britt, Elizabeth "Nikki" Armstrong and Brandy S. Armstrong (Scott VanDyke); nine great- grandsons; two brothers, Jack and Jerry Costello; and longtime devoted friend, Louise Durance. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Southlawn Memorial Park, South Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, April 27, 2017, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Crater Road Chapel of the E.
