Edna Brockwell

Edna Zurik Brockwell, 86, of Colonial Heights passed into eternal peace on Wednesday May 18, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Brockwell. Daughter of the late George Zurik and Lilly Terry, she was a beloved mother and homemaker. She is survived by her five children, Judy H. Faison of Colonial Heights, Joan Kinzie of Highland Springs, Bert Hawthorne of Chester, Keith Hawthorne and wife, Lisa, of Disputanta and Jerry Hawthorne and wife, Evette, of Chester; seven grandchildren, Rene Cassort, Jay Faison, Michelle Asbury, Terri Metzger, Kim Asbury, Jason Hawthorne and Travis Hawthorne and a sister, Mildred Updike of Petersburg; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Edna will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George, Virginia. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
