Edna H. Wilson, 92, of Colonial Heights passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021. She was born in Wilson, North Carolina on February 16, 1929 to the late James and Annie Hathaway and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson loved cooking and was a devoted housewife and mother whose greatest passion was for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland C. Wilson and six siblings. She is survived by her children, June Bethea (Lee) and Donald Houchins (Lisa); grandchildren, Kris Cutler (Ruthy), Jessica Grose, and Justin Carmichael; great-grandchildren, Jessi Bailey and Weston Grose; sisters, Helen Reusch, Carolyn Upchurch, and Patricia Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews in Virginia and North Carolina. A private graveside service will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Ray Haskett officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dunlop House, Hospice of Virginia, and Mrs. Wilson’s sidekick and caregiver, Julia Dennis.
