Edward Paul Mraz, 91, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Born in Prince George, he was the son of the late John P. and Annie Sedlak Mraz. Mr. Mraz was a veteran in the United States Army having served during World War II, a Transportation Property Officer at Fort Lee, and a retired Logistician with the Defense General Supply Center. He was a member and former Sunday school Superintendent, Trustee, Elder and Building Fund Chairman of River's Edge Bible Church. He is survived by his wife, Lois Gravitte Mraz; a daughter, Cheryl Mraz Harrell of Colonial Heights; two nephews, Thomas Mraz of Mechanicsville and Donald Mraz of Temple Hills, Maryland; a niece, Carol M. Simmons of Roanoke; and a sister-in - law, Helen Fowler of Mechanicsville. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the River's Edge Bible Church, 11311 James River Drive, Hopewell, Virginia 23860 with Pastor Andy Paul officiating. Interment will follow in Merchant's Hope Memorial Gardens, Hopewell. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at church. Flowers are welcome.
