Edward Webb Sr.

Edward Gill Webb Sr., 97, of Colonial Heights, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of Surry County, Virginia, the son of the late Walton Stanley and Willinett Gill Webb. Mr. Webb was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Perkins Webb, a son, Harry Bruce Webb, and a sister, Vivian Swenson. He was a member of Ettrick United Methodist Church and was a retired Salesman for Durham Life Insurance Company. Mr. Webb is survived by a daughter, Barbara Webb Moore and husband, Tommy of Petersburg; a son, Edward G. Webb Jr. and wife, Audrey of Colonial Heights; four grandchildren, Thomas Bernie Moore and wife, Sandra, Lorelea Moore, Edward Gill Webb III, and Rodney F. Webb; one great-grandchild, Taylor Moore. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 31, 2009 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Rev James Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ettrick United Methodist Church, 21302 Chesterfield Avenue, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 or the Crater community Hospice, 3916 S.
