Edward Wells Jr.

Eddie Wells, age 66, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013. Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Edward L. Wells, Sr.; his sister, Ann Wells Smith Baines, and his mother, Lois Wells Mayes. He is survived by his stepfather, Jack A. Mayes, Sr. and his stepbrother Steven E. Mayes of Prince George, Virginia, and his stepbrother Jack A. Mayes, Jr. (Betty) of Dinwiddie, Virginia. Eddie is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Eddie retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company of Petersburg, Virginia and Macon, Georgia with 30 years of service. The family would like to thank the staff at Dunlop House and Crater Community Hospice for the wonderful care they provided Eddie. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 3935 S Crater Road 23805, from 3- 4:30 PM on Sunday April 14, 2013. There will be a graveside service conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday April 15, 2103 at Southlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
