Edwin Wright

Edwin W. Wright Edwin W. "Buddy" Wright, 46, of Dinwiddie, died February, 22, 2014. He was the son of the late James W. and Lois S. Wright. Buddy was a truck driver and loved to drive his big truck down the highway. He also loved hunting and would spend hours in the woods, waiting for that big buck to come to him. Buddy loved to take the boat out and fish as well. His son, Jacob, stayed by his side the past two years and took care of him. He was a loving husband and father and his grandchildren put a smile on his face and a glow in his eyes. He is survived by his wife, Joy Miles Wright; sons Jacob C. Wright, Charles W. Meeks III and wife Crystal; daughter Jeanette I. Putney and husband Corey; grandchildren Charles W. Meeks IV, Dallas M. Putney, and Kelly Ann Meeks; and Michael Crowder who was like a son to him. Buddy will be missed by all. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday February 26, 2014 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday February 25, 2014 from 6:30 P. M. to 8:30 P. M. at the funeral home.
