Edwina Tucker

Edwina R. Tucker, 63, of North Dinwiddie, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. She was born on January 6, 1958, to the late Ernest and Lillian Jeter.

Edwina was a longtime member of Highland United Methodist Church, Colonial Heights and worked as a billing clerk at Poplar Springs Hospital for over 40 years. She also enjoyed camping, spending time with her loving grandkids, family, friends, and her dog, Sissy G.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, John Randolph Tucker Jr.; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Redd; stepsons, Kevin Wayne Tucker and Brandon Scott Tucker (Brandy); grandchildren, Richard Sawyer, Robert Sawyer, Leah Tucker, Andrew Tucker, Mariah Younkin, Adaya Younkin, and Braxtyn Tucker; sisters, Renay Durham and Judy Schrum (Bob); numerous nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, Jane Avila, Linda and Butch Whichard, and many other devoted friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Highland United Methodist Church, 125 E. Westover Ave, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Reverend Joseph Carson officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, South Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Highland United Methodist Church.
