Eillen Mclaughlin

Eileen C. McLaughlin, 85, of Ettrick, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emily Coleman; husband of 63 years, John A. McLaughlin, and a son, John B. McLaughlin. She leaves to cherish her memory son, Donald C. McLaughlin, Kay D. McLaughlin, surviving spouse of John B. McLaughlin; grandchildren, Tina M. Spiers and husband, David, Ryan T. McLaughlin and wife, Jennifer, Brittany K. McLaughlin and Donnie C. McLaughlin; great-grandchildren, Brandon C. Spiers, Megan M. Spiers, Riley B. McLaughlin, and Wyatt A. Powroznik; and many beloved and dear friends. She retired from Brown and Williamson after many years of service. Mrs. McLaughlin was a member of the Ettrick United Methodist Church, the Ettrick American Legion, and F.O.E. 882 Eagles. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend James Blankenship and Pastor Bob Lamb officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 or the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at Jeff's Place, Ettrick, Virginia.
