Eldor Umlang

Eldor Melvin Umlang, 74, of Chester, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. He was the son of the late Adolf and Mary Lehmann Umlang. Mr.Umlang was a member of The Upper Room Chapel where he was the head Deacon and Chairman of the Board. Eldor loved his church and was active where ever he was needed. He is survived by his wife, A. Barbara Self- Umlang; Children, Sandra Plagens of Houston, Texas, Linda Greszler and husband, Dave of Mansfield, Texas, Kenneth Umlang and wife, Beth of Orange County, California, Brenda Murphy and husband, Brian of Arlington, Texas, David Umlang and wife, Karen of San Antonio, Texas, Bobby Self and wife, Lynn of Midlothian, Virginia, Hugh Self and wife, April of Powhatan, Virginia, David Self and wife, Pam of Richmond, Virginia; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at The Upper Room Chapel, 7013 Dyer Lane, Richmond, Virginia 23225 with Pastor Mark Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park Enon, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday December 4, 2009 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
