Elfrieda Jerrell

Elfrieda (Frieda) Madden Jerrell, 68, of Dinwiddie, Virginia died Saturday, January 24, 2015. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to Harry Anthony and Elfrieda Ray Madden on January 29, 1946. Frieda grew up in Charlotte, attended Peace College in Raleigh and was employed at Eastern Airlines and owned a travel agency, Alkop Executive Travel in Charlotte. Frieda was very involved with the American Iris Society, the Daylily Society and the Piedmont Koi and Watergarden Society where she served as President. Frieda is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Jeff Greth of Fishers, Indiana and their children, Kathryn, Ashley and Tyler; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Ray Hennessey of Dover, New Hampshire and daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Simon Zimmerman of Charlotte, North Carolina; and son, Dylan. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Richard Haywood of Raleigh, North Carolina and their children Richard Haywood, Jr. and Kenneth Haywood. She was preceded in death by her husband, David T. Jerrell. A family gathering was held on January 30, 2015. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
