On December 20, 2016, our Lord received a new angel. Ellen Chambers of Matoaca went to be with her Lord and Savior at Lucy Corr Village in Chesterfield. She was born and raised in Dinwiddie, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Moss and Bernice Hudgins Chambers and was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Helen C. Ozmore; sister, Annie Edwards, Ruby Williams, Sue Lewis, Elva Bonds; three brothers, Tom Chambers, Eddie Moss Chambers and Robert Chambers. Ellen never met a stranger, as she loved to talk and socialize with anyone. She was a caregiver for most of her life, taking care of her mother and her twin sister, Helen. Ellen was a proud member of the Dinwiddie Moose Lodge. She loved shopping, especially at Goodwill because she could get more for her money. Mrs. Chambers will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy C. Lewis; sister-in-law, Marilyn Chambers; special nephew, Pete Jr. and wife, Patricia Lewis; a host of nieces and nephews; and her best friends, Brenda Traylor and Diana Denson (caregiver). Services will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
