Ellen Conaway

Ellen Rebecca Bartlett Conaway, 82, of Prince George, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late George and Ina Carter Bartlett, and the widow of Roland A. Conaway. Mrs. Conaway was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Pate and three brothers, David, Arthur, and Alfred Bartlett. She attended Walnut Hill Baptist Church and Second Baptist Church in Petersburg. Mrs. Conaway is survived by two daughters, Sandyra R. Thompson and husband, Rick of Prince George and Teresa Conaway Jarratt of Indiana; grandchildren, Tyler Morgan Thompson and Tanner Logan Thompson of Disputanta, Georginna Rose Jarratt and Thomas Stanislav Jarratt of Indiana; brothers, Kenneth, John and Andrew Bartlett all of North Carolina; a special cousin, "Sis" Virginia Lindsay; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with the Reverend Robert Livesay and the Reverend Dr. Joe Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
