Elliott Skelton

Elliott Jackson "Skelly" Skelton, Jr., 78, of Prince George, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2008 at John Randolph Medical Center. He was the son of the late Mildred Rice and Elliott Jackson Skelton, Sr. Mr. Skelton was preceded in death by a brother, William Earl Skelton. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones Skelton; children, Randy Skelton of Prince George, Donna S. Hounshell and husband Neil W. of Prince George, Rhonda K. Saunders and Carla S. Nicholson both of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Stephan, Aaron, Alex and Matthew Saunders, Dereck and Adrian Rowe, and Lindsey Nicholson; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Micah Saunders. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Burial will follow in Appomattox Cemetery Hopewell. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
