Ellis Green Sr.

Ellis Albert Green, Sr., 86, of Chester, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 26, 2019. He was born December 26, 1932 to the late Arthur and Julia Miles Green. Ellis was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Hogwood Green; and daughter, Sarah Belle Green. He is survived by a son, Ellis Albert Green, Jr.; three daughters, Jeana Green, Pamela Killingsworth, and Tamatha Williamson; 12 granddaughters; one grandson; and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ellis worked at Brown and Williamson and Gravittes Cabinet Shop. He was a member of Hope Point Church. Ellis also served in the United States Army. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Va., 23803. The arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
