Ellsworth Spain

Ellsworth Miller Spain, 70, of Prince George passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Born October 25, 1947 he was the son of the late Walton Ellsworth and Mabel Drake Spain, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Walton Drake Spain; and his sister, Sarah Spain Britt. Mr. Spain was a member of Christ and Grace Episcopal Church in Petersburg, Virginia. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kay Hoyle Spain; two special brothers-in-law, Walter N. Hoyle and wife, Tharon, Larry G. Hoyle and wife, Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ellsworth to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
