Elsie Bailey

Elsie Elizabeth Bailey, 82, of Prince George, passed away on Monday April 13, 2009 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Lyda Abernathy Gray, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine McDaniel, and Gloria Watson. Mrs. Bailey was a Past Guardian for Job's Daughters Bethel #24. She is survived by her husband, John E. Bailey Sr.; one daughter, Joan Bailey Wright of Prince George; two sons, John (Jeb) E. Bailey Jr. and wife, Ann of Hopewell, and James E. Bailey and wife, Sue of Prince George; one brother, Charles Gray of Michigan; five grandchildren, John Anthony, Krystal, Todd, Mike, and Brad; and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2009 in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road with the Reverend Wayne Good officiating. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 530 E.
