Elsie Moody

Elsie S. "Sheila" Moody, 93, of Colonial Heights, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia to the late Benjamin and Orie Lee Perkins Simmons. Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Moody Sr., and a son, Wilson S. Moody. She was a member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Colonial Heights. Mrs. Moody worked for over 20 years at Radio and TV Stations in Norfolk, Virginia, and was the former owner of Sheila's Antiques in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her son, Robert E. Moody Jr.; granddaughter, Leesa Kramer of Richmond; niece, Robyn Moody of Colonial Heights; sisters-in-law, Mildred Moody, Pat Mullice and husband, Charlie; dear friends, Nancy Twedt, Joan Keene; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg with the Reverend Tige Newell officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonia Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
