Elva Puckett

Elva Barnard Puckett, 91, of Colonial Heights, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Johnston Willis Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late James A. and Laura Quesinberry Barnard. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Puckett, three brothers and six sisters. Elva was a member of Ettrick United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, Roger A. Puckett and wife, Shirley of Colonial Heights, Gerald W. Puckett and wife, Helen of Petersburg, Charles E. Puckett of Dinwiddie, and Kenneth R. Puckett and wife, Paula of Harrisonburg; four grandchildren, Butch, Rusty, Bobby, and Doug Puckett; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will take place Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia.
