Emily Jane Prior, 72, of Quinton, loved mother and wife, passed away Sunday December 23, 2012. She was born February 13, 1940 in Henderson, North Carolina to the late Horace Gill Fuller and Pattie Lou Faulkner Fuller. Mrs. Prior retired in 2002 after 40 years of distinguished service as Chief, Concepts and Systems Division, Army Center of Excellence, Subsistence for the United States Army Civil Service, originally being named a Division Chief in 1989. She was recognized for dedication and performance of duty as a Distinguished Member of the Regiment by the Quartermaster Corps in May 2001, and after her retirement from the military founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Military Food Program Consultants. She was a member of the Research and Development Association, International Food Service Executives Association, Quartermasters Society at Fort Lee, Tyson Leadership Network, and the National Association of College and University Foodservice. Mrs. Prior is survived by her husband Stephen R. Prior, sons Stephen Mark Prior and Adam Edwin Prior and their families. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday December 29, 2012 in Immanuel Baptist Church, 620 Lafayette Avenue Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, overseen by the Reverend Robert Livesay. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday December 28, 2012 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
