Emily Thompson

Emily S. Thompson passed away February 18, 2014 at MCV Palliative Care Unit. Mrs. Thompson was a resident of Dinwiddie County. She was preceded in death by her mother Ethel Trent Stevenson and her sister Ethel Carolyn Moots. Mrs. Thompson was a longtime employee of Central Virginia Property Services. She is survived by her husband Cecil R. Thompson, her daughter Jacqueline R. Edmonds (Barry), one son Barry A. Reaves, two sisters Edith Cataleno and Shirley Slaughter, three granddaughters Krystol N. McCubbin (David), Emily F. Reaves, Victoria K.C. Armstrong, two great-grandchildren, Layla S. Baker and David N. McCubbin II., numerous nieces and nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday February 24, 2014 in the Petersburg Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 3935 S. Crater Road. Interment will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia 10300 Pridesville Road Amelia, Virginia 23002. The family will receive friends Sunday February 23, 2014 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
