Emily Jackson White, 72, of Blackstone, formerly of Matoaca, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Retreat Hospital. Born in Petersburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Ruth Munford Jackson, and the widow of Larry Earl White. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Cone and husband, Duke of Prince George; two sons, Larry E. White Jr. and wife, Beth, and George M. White and wife, Tiffany all of Blackstone; grandchildren, Angela Gibbs, Amy Shinault, Chris White, Joseph White, Chandler White, Georgia White, and Kristen Whitaker; three sisters, Betty Anne Wade, Doris Thompson, and Sue Greene; three brothers, Robert, Raymond, and David Jackson; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 in Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Ray Haskett officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory 2033 Boulevard.
