Emma Belcher

Emma Jane Belcher, 73, of Matoaca passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. Born July 23, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Emma Cox, and was also preceded in death by eight siblings.

Emma dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and especially her beloved great-grandchildren. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her cherished flowers.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, David Columbus Belcher III; two daughters, Regina Christine Monile and husband, Joseph, Rebecca Ann Webb; five grandchildren, Nathan McCoy, Joseph Monile III and wife, Priscilla, Cheyann Christine Allen, Angela Jane Webb, Jacob Adam Webb; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Noah; a great-grandson on the way, Ian; three siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard.
