Ethel Totty Anderson, 95, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Colonial Heights Healthcare Center. Born in Chesterfield, she was the daughter of the late John and Virgie Roberts Totty, and was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis E. Anderson Sr. and a brother, James Totty. She was a long-time resident of Ettrick and Colonial Heights, and the owner operator of Ettrick Beauty Shop, and later in life she was employed by the Progress Index & the Richmond Times Dispatch. Mrs. Anderson enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, going to church, and being around her family, which included her pets. She is survived by her children, Laura Jean Anderson, Curtis E. Anderson Jr. and wife, Delores D. and William "Bill" M. Anderson and wife, Cathy S.; grandchildren, Genia P. Thorn and husband, Adam, Melissa A. Littell and husband, Tony, Jaime B. Anderson, Amanda D. Baker and husband, Scott, and Austin B. Anderson and wife, Meghan; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Jim Partin officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, S. Prince George. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Colonial Heights Healthcare Center for the care and compassion given to Mrs. Anderson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church Mission Fund, 21000 Chesterfield Avenue, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23803.
