Ethel Pride

Ethel Mae Brooks Pride, 90, of Colonial Heights passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her residence. Born in Virginia on January 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Thelma L. Worley Brooks and was also preceded in death by her husband, Waverly D. Pride and a sister Hazel Brooks Butler. Mrs. Pride is survived by a daughter, Linda Dice and husband, John; a grandson, Gary Dice; great-grandchildren, Kasey Evans-Stephens, Edward Steven Dice, Tiffany Danielle Dice, and Chase Drewry Dice and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia, with the Reverend Craig Buxton officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Crater Community Hospice for their care and compassion to Mrs. Pride and her family during her time with them.
