Ethel Clarice Cogle Williams, 92, of Colonial Heights passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at her residence. She was born November 4, 1915 in Prince George, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Alexander Cogle, Sr. and Eva Emory Cogle. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Williams. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Alexander Cogle, Jr., and a sister, Alma Cogle Cheeley. Mrs. Williams was a life-long member of Highland United Methodist Church and the Mary Murphy Bible Class. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Williams Willingham and son-in-law, Jimmy of Chester; granddaughter Amy Willingham Dodd and husband, John of Chester, grandson, Keith Willingham and wife, Robin of Chesterfield, and granddaughter Lisa Willingham Munchel and husband, Dustin of Chesterfield; great-granddaughters, Allison Nicole Dodd and Kayla Elizabeth Dodd both of Chester; great-grandsons, Bradley Garrett Munchel and Brendan John Munchel both of Chesterfield; a devoted sister, Virginia Cogle of Prince George; a sister-in-law, Sarah Cogle of Prince George; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express deepest appreciation for the loving care provided to Mrs. Williams by Barbara Brown, Linda Darden, Mattie Lewis, and Vivian Edmunds. The family also appreciates the loving care provided by Joyce Lynch, RN of Hospice of Virginia. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. William Rawlings officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
