Ethylene Winn Chumney of South Chesterfield was born to the late Benjamin Thomas and Mattie Leigh West Winn November 24, 1928 and passed on September 8, 2014. Ethylene "Peggy" retired from Safeway Stores in Colonial Heights and was a longtime dedicated and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her children Michael Hutchinson, Bonnie Reynolds (Jerry); her sisters Mary Leigh W. Crumpler (Paul) and Dixie Winn Courtright (Ed); and predeceased by her husbands: Mick Hutchinson, Cleve Cole, and Bill "Red" Chumney; her brothers: Roy, Leonard and George Winn, and two infant grandchildren. She loved and is survived by grandchildren Michele Estes (Mike), Janet Witt (John), Pam Hutchinson, Ricky Hutchinson (Chelsea), Robbie Hutchinson (Tiffany), Lynness R. Hawkes (Nathan), Gayle R. Sinclair (Seth), Kate Reynolds and Heather Reynolds; eighteen great-grands, and two great-great-grands as well as many nieces and nephews. To Ethylene, church and family were everything. She loved family, friends, gardening, cooking, traveling, and helping others, she never knew a stranger, and she recognized God's handiwork in the marvelous tapestry of life. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Bishop Bruce Dove officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
