Eva J. Worley, 91, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Louise Smith Mitchell, and the widow of John J. Worley. Mrs. Worley was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Mitchell and a sister, Elizabeth Barbour. She was a former member of Fairmount Christian Church, Richmond and a member Colonial Christian Church, Colonial Heights. She worked for American Tobacco Company for 40 years as an Operator. She is survived by a son, Edward M. "Bill" Wilson and wife, Becky of Colonial Heights; grandchildren, David Wilson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Melanie Lee and husband, Mark of Chesterfield, and Marilyne Wilson of Colonial Heights; great-grandchildren, Kanyon, Tyler and Taylor Lee; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 in Colonial Christian Church, 295 Dunlop Farms Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Dr. Mike Curry officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, Virginia 23222. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, and one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday at the church.
