Evelyn Dobler

Evelyn Marie Dobler, 81, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Born in Hopewell, she was the daughter of the late Hersey and Bessie Langford Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Dobler and a son, James Matthew Young. Mrs. Dobler is survived by a brother, Robert Jones and wife, Cathy; nieces and nephews, Rose M. Brown and husband, Gerald T., Sharon K. Sprague and husband, Douglas, John R. Ney and wife, Delores, Lisa M. Hawkins and significant other, Ray, Lynn Campo and husband, John, Sandra Rotz and husband, James, Pamela Swords and husband, Eric, and Christopher Sprague and Significant other, Shannon; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. A Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Merchant Hope Memorial Gardens, 11302 Merchants Hope Road, Hopewell, Virginia 23860.
