Evelyn Gates

Evelyn Marie "Evelina" Gates, 86, of Prince George, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Joseph Castro; a sister, Priscilla Castro; and two brothers, Anthony and Robert Castro. She is survived by her husband of 34 years Robert E. Gates; two step-sons, John and Danny Connolly; a brother, Edgar Castro; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was an active volunteer for many years with the American Red Cross. The family will receive friends from 2p.m. to 4p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Blvd, Colonial Heights, VA 23834 where a funeral service will be held 11a.m. Monday, November 26, 2018. Interment will be private.
