Evelyn Mershon

Mrs. Evelyn R, Mershon of Ashland / Petersburg, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Memorial Regional Hospital in Mechanicsville. Born in Ettrick, Virginia she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel Rae. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Mershon is survived by her four sons; C. Allen Fleming and wife Katie, Fred S. Mershon and wife Megan, Paul S. Mershon and wife Patricia, and Steven R. Henry; four grandchildren, Austin S. Mershon, Theresa F. Trexler, Daniel S. Henry, and Benjamin Henry; one great-grandson, Jesse A. Trexler. God's beautiful plan is concealed, but someday his purpose will be fully revealed. We'll see the Lord's purpose from Heaven's point of view, and we'll understand in ways we never knew. Until we are home with God some answers have to wait, "Lord we'll TRUST AND OBEY. Lord, help us walk by faith. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia with the Reverend Edward Council officiating.
