Fannie Irene Bridgeman, 72, of Chesterfield, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Frank Milton Brooks Sr., and Edna Booth Crowder and was preceded in death by her daughter, Baby Girl Bridgeman; two sisters, Mira Rose Bridgeman, and Virginia Dare Brooks. Mrs. Bridgeman was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Wilbur B. Bridgeman; four daughters, Brenda Bridgeman of Chester, Wendie K. Thompson of Chester, Melinda Joann Sturtz and husband, Jeff of Matoaca, Angela Gunn and husband, John W. of Colonial Heights; one son, Beau Bridgeman Jr., of Chester; seven grandchildren, Maritza N. Hawkins, Daniel Martinez Jr., Linda Carlyle, Billy R. Stafford III., Richard Gunn, Summer Gunn, and Benjamin Gunn; six great grandchildren, Taylor Hawkins, Alexis Carlyle, Blakley Carlyle, Kayla M. Martinez, Savanah Stafford, Evangelina Stafford; three sisters, Barbara Jean Newton, Betty Anne Wall, Edna May Turner; five brothers, Earl Brooks, Frank Milton Brooks Jr., Lee Crowder, Jack Crowder, Gary Crowder; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Colonial Heights Baptist Church,1720 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Ronnie West and the Reverend Steve Freeman officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday, January 28, 2011 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
